Blender used in indie movie “Joonatanin Evankeliumi”

The movieJoonatanin Evankeliumi, produced by “Ihmiskunnan ainoa toivo” in 2008, won the a big competition of the magazine Kamera. The movies from previous years of “Ihmiskunnan ainoa toivo” have been in the top three of the competition for many years.
In the movie is a scene where a crowd watches an eclipse of the sun, which symbolises the theme “light and its absence” of the movie. I did the special effect for this scene in Blender. The linked image with the visual effect and a few other screen captures ended up in the January 2009 edition of the magazine. On that page also the winners and other contestants are mentioned..

Joonatanin Evankeliumi, joka on elokuvaryhmä “Ihmiskunnan ainoan toivon” vuoden 2008 tuotanto, voitti Kamera lehden suurkilpailun. Ihmiskunnan ainoan toivon edellisvuosien elokuvia on ollut myös aiempina vuosina lehden järjestämän kilpailun kärkikolmikossa.
Elokuvassa on kohtaus, missä väkijoukko tarkkailee auringon pimennystä joka symbolisoi elokuvan teemaa “valoa ja sen puuttetta”. Tämän kohtauksen toteutin Blenderillä. Kuva tästä kyseisestä tehosteesta päätyi muutamien muiden kuvakaappausten mukana lehden Tammikuun -09 julkaisun, sivullekin johon voittaja ja muita osallistujia on listattu.
